Mission of the Month

As recommended by the Church Council and approved by the Voters as part of the 2010 budget, our mission giving for 2010 will be split 12 ways to specific agencies rather than forwarded carte blanche to the Northern Illinois District or Synodical Offices.  The pastor and Board of Discipleship were charged with choosing 12 agencies for recommendation to the Church Council.  From among 26 suggested possibilities, 12 were recommended and accepted by the Council at its most recent meeting.  A minimum of $500.00 will be sent to each agency for the designated month.  Specifically designated mission offerings or collections could be added to that amount.  Mission offerings (2nd box on the offerings envelope) received beyond the budgeted amount will have their distribution determined toward the end of the year.  Your thoughts regarding future considerations are welcome.

In Christ,

Pastor Stroup
