Sanctuary Service
Sanctuary Service volunteers assist with placing Altar flowers, checking and filling the candles, changing the altar paraments, setting up for communion and conducting other activities that beautify our sanctuary in preparation or worship services.
Celebration of Faith Contemporary Service Actors
Contemporary Service actors participate in short 5-minute skits that are fun to perform and help reinforce Christian messages. All ages are welcome to participate.
Greeters
These St. John's volunteers greet members and visitors before and after worship services. A major goal of the Greeters is to make sure all members and visitors feel welcome and part of St. John's family.
Lectors
Lectors read from the scriptures during church services so that the Congregation can hear and reflect upon God's Word and draw closer to Him.
Ushers assist during worship services in a variety of ways including, assisting with communion, answering questions from members and visitors, distributing bulletins, passing collection plates, and helping people enter and exit the sanctuary before and after services.
Location: Preschool Room just off the Activity Center. If you're new, one of our Greeters or Ushers will be happy to direct you!
Who Can Attend?
- Children (3 and under) that are unable to participate in Sunday School are welcome.
- The Nursery is also open to Nursing Moms!
