The Clarence J. Ebel and Irma B. Ritt Scholarship has been established in their honor “…for the good Christian heritage and education they provided…” St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church is honored to be a sponsor of this scholarship. Information about prerequisites and applications are available at the church office. Applications are due to be delivered to the scholarship committee by March 31^st; therefore, please submit to the church office by March 25^th. Interviews will be conducted during April and the scholarship decision will be made in May, 2008.

The scholarship is $3,000 and the applicant prerequisites are as follows:

1. Must be an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Algonquin.

2. Applicants must use scholarship funds for tuition and books only.

3. Applicants must be attending a 4-year college or university.
